About Norwich

Norwich is a modern, cosmopolitan and vibrant city with a rich heritage. Located just under 2 hours from London and 1 hour from Cambridge, it has the most intact medieval street pattern in Britain, the largest six-day open-air market in England and is one of the top five shopping destinations in the country.

With its intricate network of winding streets, Norwich is home to many museums, theatres, cinemas and galleries and a year-round programme of festivals. It has a fine tradition of beautiful and innovative architecture – the cathedral, castle, Royal Arcade, University of East Anglia and The Forum are just some examples of the high-quality design spanning the centuries.

Norwich is an ideal base from which to explore the rest of Norfolk. Many visitors come to the county every year to walk along its beautiful beaches, go boating on the Norfolk Broads and discover market towns and historic stately homes.
