Photo-ID: Photographers and Scientists Explore Identity

Saturday 1 – Saturday 29 August

Who are you and how do you arrive at that knowledge? Ten international photographers have been commissioned to explore different aspects of identity for this exciting exhibition of new work at The Forum.

Photo-ID takes a visual approach to engaging with issues around identity in all its forms. The ways in which our identity is constructed are complex and include factors such as our age, gender, appearance, language, class, ethnicity, faith and our job. Some are genetically influenced, some are internally perceived and some – such as our fingerprints and DNA profiles – raise ethical, political and social issues.

Artists

Kim Cunningham (Ireland), Mark Edwards, Carl Jaycock, Åsa Johannesson (Sweden), Marlene Haring (Austria), Joanna Kane, Evi Lemberger (Germany), Dave Lewis, Paul Sucksmith, Simon Terrill (Australia)
