Norwich Castle Museum & Art Gallery is home to outstanding collections of fine art, archaeology
and natural history. These collections are of national importance and include the best collections anywhere of paintings by the Norwich School of Artists and the world’s largest collection of ceramic teapots. Alongside the permanent collections, the Museum also presents a temporary exhibition programme including partnership exhibitions from Tate, major loan exhibitions and touring shows.
Museum of Life
German artist Karsten Bott has been invited by Norwich Castle to create a museum within a museum. This major installation will be assembled from the artist’s ‘Archive of Contemporary History’ – a vast collection of everyday objects that the artist has been collecting and cataloguing for the past two decades. The result will be a powerful visual statement, creating a mischievous and intriguing dialogue with the surrounding museum. |
